Secured Entry (finally)

Our 'hood has a bad reputation.

That said, this back door has been sans handle and lock for the length of the project. Not a single thing has been stolen. I would go so far as to admit that I frequently space out and forget to lock the door to our own house, leave my purse in the unlocked car in the driveway, and so forth...but to say those things publically would make my Dad cringe, like the time I was a single gal living alone with an answering machine message that advertized "I'm not home right now". Who knows what criminal could be calling random telephone numbers in the phone book to find a voice advertising a Theives Paradize?!

As the adage goes, locks keep the honest folks honest.
